Web Application Engineer – Frontend (f/m/x)

Your opportunity

We are looking for a Web Application Engineer with experience in creating and maintaining complex architectures and optimizing performance in SPAs. You would join our Frontend team and play an important role in the ongoing evolution of our leading real-time auction platform. 

Your area of responsibility

  • Develop high-performance single-page applications, primarily focused on refining and enhancing our core platform
  • Actively participate in architecture and design decisions
  • Write testable, scalable and maintainable code
  • Optimize performance and rendering for frequent realtime interactions
  • Architect and improve automation and tooling around build processes, deployment and developer efficiency

What makes you the right candidate?

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience developing complex single-page applications
  • In-depth knowledge of Angular and TypeScript
  • Good understanding of browser rendering and processing pipelines
  • Knowledge of how JavaScript engines work under the hood and experience optimizing runtime code execution
  • Ability to build efficient and modern CSS code, including modules and preprocessors
  • Have a track record of building and maintaining robust test suites in collaboration with peers
  • Committed personality with good English skills
  • Eager to learn and enjoying a self-responsible way of working
  • EU citizen or valid working permission for the EU
  • Country of residence: Austria or Germany

  • Previous exposure to technical and interaction-based observability tools
  • In-Depth GraphQL knowledge
  • Previous involvement in optimization of CI/CD pipelines and automations
  • Familiarity with, or enthusiasm for, realtime communication systems and their unique complexities
  • Mobile-first mindset
  • Background in dealing with mature codebases and the process of improving them
  • Understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them
